Dose IQ Safety Software: Advancing Medication Safety and Helping to Reduce Preventable Errors
Dose IQ Safety Software helps you protect more infusions and reduce the risk of patient harm with drug library and dose error reduction features.
At every step, intuitive Dose IQ Safety Software helps you easily build and deploy one of the safest and most effective drug libraries possible. Users follow a step-by-step, guided approach with prompts to complete the build. Enabled by the IQ Enterprise Connectivity Suite, the centralized drug library is wirelessly deployed and updated across the enterprise health system—no pump power cycling required.
Baxter infusion platforms with Dose IQ Safety Software deliver 97% drug library compliance within one month of implementation,2 meeting the Institute for Safe Medication Practices’ recommended goal of 95% or greater5 and exceeding the 84% industry average3 by 13 percentage points.

Powerful Analytics: Turning CQI Data Into Actionable Insights
Clinicians have reported that they can spend up to 54 hours a month deciphering infusion data.1 IQ Analyze and IQ PeerVue can help streamline clinician data analysis by providing comprehensive data visibility and metrics in intuitive reports6 that can inform CQI initiatives aimed at optimizing drug libraries and enhancing clinical practice.
IQ Analyze reports enable hospitals to gain visibility into dose error reduction software (DERS) and EMR interoperability compliance, clinician responses to dosing limit alerts, clinician dose rate change behavior and the complete Infusion Story covering every pump infusion administered in the hospital.
IQ PeerVue reports allow hospitals to benchmark their infusion data against data from similar institutions. Reports compare DERS compliance and clinician actions in response to hard and soft limits and to dose or rate change alerts.
Comparing performance against similar institutions can help hospitals establish benchmarks that clearly identify areas for improvement and best demonstrated practices.

Key Metrics
IQ Analyze and IQ PeerVue transform infusion data into clear, actionable insight reports1
that can help support continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives in the optimization of drug libraries
and enhancement of clinical practice.

Infusion Story
Visualize every infusion across your hospital with clear trend and event-tracking reports that include complete infusion records, programmed parameters and infusion events to support investigations and identify opportunities to improve protocols.

Peer-To-Peer
The first peer benchmarking application offered by an infusion pump manufacturer.
Benchmark your hospital data against data from similar institutions, using IQ PeerVue to compare limit alerts, dose/rate change alerts and drug library compliance to identify trends, support best practices and optimize performance.

Compliance
Track dose error reduction software (DERS) and auto-programming compliance to help maximize your investment in infusion safety technology, analyzing manual pump programming and use of basic mode to optimize your drug library compliance.
IQ DeviceVue Asset Tracking Application Option: Find the Pump You Need, When You Need It
Nurses may spend up to one hour per shift searching for equipment.7 Uncertainty about infusion pump location and status may contribute to staff inefficiency, fleet underutilization and unnecessary pump purchases.
Baxter's IQ DeviceVue application, in conjunction with the tagless location communications capability embedded in every Spectrum IQ and Novum IQ pump, uses your hospital wireless network and floor plan to map your pump locations and provide insight into whether pumps are infusing with color-coded status indicators.
Now hospital staff can easily find the right infusion pumps when they need them and know whether they are available or in use, helping to improve operational efficiency and maximize clinician time with patients.
